The people of Cauayan got excited about the new landmark that has been established in the city which is called the ICON CENTER or the Isabela Convention Center located along the diversion road at Barangay San Fermin, a few kilometers away to Cauayan City Sports Complex.
On November 8, 2021, the City Officials led by Mayor Bernard Dy had inaugurated the multipurpose building, few days before the conduct of a national convention by the group of JCI.
A masterpiece of a world-class design and equipped with modern facilities, the convention center can be used to host various events from entertainment, concert, sports, trade and consumer shows, and other activities and events that require a large floor area.
True enough, the ICON Center proved its worthiness when Cauayan City welcomed the delegations of the Joint JCI and JCI Senate Hybrid National Convention last November 12-14, 2021.
In his Social Media Account, Mayor Bernard Dy posted his gratitude for the success of the event with the observation of the proper health protocols and expressing gladness to all the men behind the organizing committee for a job well done.
“It’s a success signal that Cauayan City is now ready and open to host national and international conventions. ICON is the new kid on the block where people from all parts of the country are welcome for M.I.C.E. Now that we are on Alert Level 2, the city and our country is slowly opening up as we bounce back and rebuild better. This is the start of building back our economy better!” Mayor Bernard Dy remarked.
