The City Government of Cauayan conducted the ALAY LAKAD “The Ben Walk for a Cause” participated by LGU Cauayan employees, other Government Agencies, Non-Government organization and stakeholders on an early dawn of September 22,2022. The event was successfully undertaken with Mayor Caesar “Jaycee” Dy Jr. in leading the program and the presence of Atty. Maritess P. Lappay, Acting Regional Director IV and Provincial Director Rewina D. Arugay, of the Civil Service Commission.

The Alay Lakad is a yearly activity of the City Government held every 22nd of September coinciding with the birthday celebration of the late former Governor Benjamin G. Dy who started the program as a fund raising activity given to the identified beneficiaries of DSWD.

Aside from the regular beneficiaries, this year proceed will also extended to the families of the unsung frontliner heroes who lost their lives in the performance of their duties during the COVID-19 pandemic.

These year’s theme is “Join A charitY walk for a CausE evEnt for our DearlY Servant Heroes” Never Forgotten in connection with the Civil Service Month Celebration this month of September.
