The City of Cauayan was included as one of the LGU passers of the 2021 Good Financial Housekeeping based on the report released earlier.
With this development, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 2 has extended its congratulatory message to the City government of Cauayan along with other LGU passers in the Region.
The DILG said that to qualify for the passing of the GFH, the LGU should exhibit compliance with accounting and auditing standards, rules, and regulations as well as compliance with the Full Disclosure Policy (FDP) of Local Budget and Finances, Bids, and Public Offerings e.g., Annual Budget, Statement of Receipts and Expenditures, Annual Procurement Plan or Procurement List, and Bid Results on Civil Works. Goods and Services and Consulting Services, among others.
The Seal of Good Housekeeping (SGH) is promoting transparency and accountability in local government operations, which assesses financial housekeeping through compliance with COA’S accounting and auditing standards and the Department’s Full Disclosure Policy.
The City of Cauayan is a consistent passer of the GFH.
