Empowering barangay- based complaints to control the growing number of covid 19 cases in the city has been considered by the city government as the grass root of information, thus, the establishment of Barangay Ko Patrol Ko- a community Covid 19 watch program.
With the program, the Sumbungan ng Bayan will entertain calls from the public reporting on anything that they may seem are a violation of the quarantine protocols in their barangay.
Violations such are, non-wearing of face masks and face shields, mass gatherings on any social events, religious affairs, family reunions, picnics, funeral wakes, etc, a business establishment not allowed to operate, curfews, and, especially those people entering the barangay coming from a high-risk places.
The information given by the complainant will be given attention by the city authorities by verifying and give necessary charges to the violator/s.
The Barangay Ko Patrol Ko is a collaboration between the public(barangay) and the authorities to keep track Covid 19 monitoring.
