July 9, 2021 – Inspection Team from the DILG headed by CLGOO Ricarte M. Castro has certified the City Hall of Cauayan City with Safety Seal showing that the edifice is compliant to public health safety standard.
Upon inspecting the necessary requirements and everything is in order , Mr. Castro handed-out the Safety Seal to Mayor Bernard Dy with the presence of the City Officials and have it stick at the main entrance of the building.
The DILG, together with the PNP and the Bureau of Fire Protection as team are responsible for the issuances of the Safety Seal to public/ government institutions as provided by in the Joint Memorandum Circular 21-01.
Earlier, the City government has also created its own Inspection and Certification Team based on the DILG Memorandum Circular 2021-053 purposely in-charge to undertake inspection and issue the Seal Certification to business establishments in the city , and as a result there are already a number of establishments that has given the Seal.
The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme that affirms that an establishment is compliant to the minimum public health standards set by the government and uses or integrates its contact tracing with staysafe.ph.
