Affirming its commitment to pursuing youth’s education that no one will be left behind, the City Government once again open its door to welcome the new batch of scholars for incoming first-year college students.
The City Infotech Office, in charge of the City Scholarship Program, has released the results of the online qualifying examination conducted last month (July) to occupy the 300 scholarship slots accommodation for the Academic Year 2021-2022.
The results were forwarded to all applicants via their email sent by the office.
During the Orientation Meeting, Mr. Jay Patrice Bartolome, the City Scholarship Coordinator emphasized the purpose of the scholarship program and their responsibility as scholar.
The City Scholarship Program, now in its 6- year under the administration of Mayor Bernard Dy has giving free tuition fee education to those who have enrolled in any private colleges located in the city until they will graduate with their chosen degree. The Scholarship was categorized into two; The Full Scholarship and the Academic Scholarship.
Meantime, students who were enrolled in the state universities and colleges outside Cauayan will also be receiving educational assistance from 3,000 to 5,000 pesos.
To date, there are about 2, 500 city scholars of the city government.
