The City Local Government Unit of Cauayan thru the GFPS (Population Office, CSWDO and SDO/ALS) successfully conducted the activity entitled Navigate:JCD (Journey on Championing Deterrents to a bright future) at Barangay Union, Cauayan City, Isabela in partnership with the different BGUs and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation. It was participated by out-of-school youth in the said barangay.
The objectives of the activity are as follows:
✅️To help the OSYs realize their choices and help them decide wisely and responsibly
✅️To create a support system for those who are willing to achieve their aspirations
✅️To provide a road map for their back-to-school journey
The program began with a short prayer, message from the barangay kagawad (Hon. Reynaldo Gilo) and discussion of overview of the activity.
The participants have enjoyed the interactive games while learning the concepts on Pitfalls (deterrents or delaying factors to a bright future), the WHYs of going back to school and U-turn (how to get back on track thru the ALS Program and key strategies towards a bright future).
Thru the activity, about 10 OSYs signified their interest in Alternative Learning System (ALS) Program.
