MAYOR BERNARD DY BARED BIG PROJECTS THIS YEAR ON HIS CITY ADDRESS

The State of the City Address (SOCA) of Mayor Bernard Faustino M. Dy on February 12, 2021, delivered on a virtual presentation is a manifestation that his administration really meant to strive no matter what challenges or crises may arise.

Proven of his accomplishment last year that the city was able to rise despite various calamities that struck the country and Cauayan City was not spared, thus thanking all Proud Cauyeños for all the support given with special mention to the covid 19 frontliners; from health workers to barangay officials.

Along with his city address, he revealed what various big projects and programs are going to be undertaken this year.

 This includes the establishment of an additional Isolation Facility to served as a quarantine facility for covid patients and later on be used as an indoor sports facility. The City Government has allocated a budget for this project amounting to 65 million pesos.

The city government is likewise preparing for the procurement of covid vaccines with an initial budget of  50 million pesos intended for the identified eligible beneficiaries for the vaccination program. At present, there is ongoing conduct of surveys, profiling, and input immunization registry. Priorities will be given to health care professionals, uniformed personnel, senior citizens, and indigent families.

Another project that will be going to push-through is the construction of the city crematorium at Burulan ng Bayan, Barangay San Francisco for covid deaths related.

There will also be a relocation housing project at barangay Nungnungan (Masagana Village),  San Pablo at  Sitio Manalpaac (Matino Village), and Purok 8 (Mahusay Village) for flooded areas in the city.

For the Disaster response project, the city will be implementing  the Integrated Digital Twin for Disaster Resiliency. This is the first 3D Digital Map in the Phils.

The AKAP (Alay na Kalinga sa Pamilyang Cauayeño Center will soon rise. This will serve as the main operation center for donation drop-off on any given assistance to every family beneficiary.

The city government also considers the installation of street signs and QR Codes for every household and construct more green parks utilizing open spaces in the city.

For other Infrastructure projects, the city is on the go for the construction of the Hall of Justice to include  motor pool, Core Urban Center, and the Isabela Convention Center.

As to the construction of bridges connecting East Tabacal and Forest Region, Mayor Bernard Dy said that a new bridge will be constructed since the Alicacao Bridge is no longer suited for rehabilitation based on the feasibility studies  conducted . The bridge will connect Sta Luciana and San Pablo ( Gov BGDy Bridge) and Cabaruan to Mabantad ( Gov. FND Bridge).

For this year, the city government will be more aggressive for the realization of the United Nations’  Sustainable Development Goals which the city government has started adopting the program.

The State of the City Address was aired over CMD Cable and to other Social Media platforms informing the public on the accomplishment of the administration of Mayor Bernard Dy on moving forward despite the gloomy situations encountered last year.
