– Closing remark of Mayor Jayce Dy in his Inaugural Address

The start of his new journey with his own style of leadership in leading a new chapter of becoming a greater city is all set for the new administration of Mayor Caesar “Jaycee” Dy, Jr.

Mayor Jaycee Dy as he is commonly called, has sworn-in as the Local Chief Executive of Cauayan City, replacing his cousin, Hon. Bernard Faustino M. Dy, whose term has ended noon of June 30, 2022.  Mayor Jaycee Dy took his oath before Governor Rodolfo Albano III before a jampacked crowd at Isabela Convention Center to include guests and dignitaries  with his family witnessing him while having his oath.

During his inaugural address, the newly sworn Mayor, Caesar S. Dy Jr., expressed his thank and gratitude to all the persons behind his triumph especially his father, former Mayor Caesar Dy, who he said is his inspiration and pledged to continue the legacy of the Dy family in public service.

According to him, the opportunity given him is a big challenge since his predecessors had left a remarkable service during their incumbency as city officials especially to Mayor Bernard Dy who made Cauayan City into the world map as smarter  and liveable city.  He added that the success of his leadership lies from the support of every Cauayeño. “ … Na kahit na anong problema, sitwasyon ay kaya po nating lagpasan ito sa pagtutulungan at pagkakaisa. At gaya nga po ng sinabi ko dati na ibibigay ko po ang isangdaan at sampung porsiyento ang aking oras at ang aking dedikasyon para po maitaguyod, maituloy ang mga naumpisahan po ng pamilya Dy dito sa Lungsod ng Cauayan”, a remarked from Mayor Jaycee Dy.

With him taking the Oath of Office, the new members of the 8th Council of the Sanggunian . They were Vice Mayor Leoncio A. Dalin, Jr, City Councilors Edgardo A. Atienza, Jr, Cynthia Q. Uy, Ariel Kenneth V. Uy, Eugenio C. Asirit IV,Edgar M. De Luna, Garry G. Galutera, Telesforo R. Mallillin, Atty. Paul Vincent R. Mauricio, Paolo Eleazar C. Delmendo, and Bagnos R. Maximo.

The event was made more meaningful  as the newly elected Senator Raffy Tulfo has attended the event  who at that time was conferred  a special recognition  being  an  adopted son of Cauayan City through a City Council Resolution.

Senator Raffy Tulfo has an intimate connection with the city as he was once employed to a locally-based Broadcasting Company as Disc Jockey and able to find his partner in life, now Representative Jocelyn Fernandez-Tulfo of the ACT CIS Party List.

In his speech, Senator Raffy Tulfo gave assurance to the City of Cauayan to give preference on the needs of the people of Cauayan as he himself will establish his satellite office aside from the ACT-CIS Action Center in the City of Cauayan. One big project that he promised to undertake is the modernization of the Cauayan Domestic Airport as it needs proper attention to boost the tourism industry here.

Mula ngayon, palagi kong isaalang-alang ang Cauayan at Isabela msamlahat ng aking gagawin sa senado. Lahat ng ng mga proyekto na ikagaganda ng Cauayan, akin pong pangako ibubuhos ko dito. Yan po ang maasahan nyo dahil for so many years, niyakap nyo ako, minahal nyo ako. It’s about time na ako naman po ang magmamahal po sa inyo mga taga Cauayan City”, said Senator Raffy Tulfo.

After the program, Mayor Jaycee  Dy met with the local media for a press conference and presented his priority projects and programs of the city.
