The gleam and the gloss of 28 empowered Cauayeñas as they proudly represent 28 different barangays in the City. The Local Government of Cauayan City in participation with the Cauayan City Sangguniang Kabataan Federation was streamed at home via Cauayan City Local Government Facebook Page and CMD Cable.
Let it be known that the organizing team followed quarantine period, enforced swab test requirements, maintained social distancing protocols and implemented all IATF-mandated procedures to ensure the utmost safety of everyone throughout the pageant period.
Last May 17, 2021, the preliminary pageant was held at Don FL DY Coliseum. The 28 lovely candidates paraded their modern Filipiniana, showcased their different talents and exposed their body posture thru the swimsuit competition. Different corporate awards was given.
The grand coronation was held on May 20, 2021 hosted by Michael Bristol and Angelee Claudett Delos Reyes. The judges include International Beauty Queens and Ambassadors of the Universe.
Ms. Anna Zemirah I. Maloloyon has been crowned Mutya ng Cauayan 2021, a sophomore student at Mapua University taking up BS Architecture and a first timer in the pageant industry from Barangay District I.
The Bb. Gawagaway-yan was bagged by Ms. Anjoulie S. Magpantay from Barangay San Fermin, 1st Runner Up Ms. Loriel Ramirez of Barangay Turayong, 2nd Runner Up Ms. Princess Twinkle Joyce Maguddayao of Barangay Faustino and the 3rd Runner Up from Barangay Tagaran Ms. Janeth Calicdan. The other canidates who won Best in Swimsuit Ms. Julie Mae P. Villanueva, the Best Designer, Best in Modern Filipiniana and best in Evening Gown was bagged by Ms. Princess C. Foronda, for Best in Talent by Ms. Loriel Ramirez.
Their swimsuit attire was designed by Jepang Go and their evening gown was made by Thad Carreon. The official footwear of Mutya ng Cauayan 2021 by Jojo Bragais. The top major sponsors are Mypercom, Multisys technologies, DNF Distributions and Logistics and TM/Globe Telecom.
This year, the Director General, the CEO of Mypercom Advertising and, a business tycoon; the pride of Cauayan City, Michael De Guzman Sr. and Hon. Caesar “Jaycee” S. Dy Jr. as Assistant Director General.
First time in the history of the Gawagaway-yan Festival, The production team of Gawagaway-yan Festival 2021 made collaboration from the Big Three names in the industry of event management and production in the province. Their hard work and creativity are evident because all the Festival Activities this year are indeed extravagantly successful. With that, the big trio was composed of Sir Alfie Pascual of The Hermano Event and Management, Sir Richie Andam of Celebrino Events, and Sir John Creative Events and Productions by Sir Johnson S. Castro.
The Mutya ng Cauayan Virtual edition was viewed more or less 17,000 viewers around the world.
