The City Government of Cauayan celebrates 20th Women with Disability Day Celebration with this year theme: “LIPUNANG PATAS SA BAGONG PILIPINAS: Kakayahan ng Kababaihang Maykapansanan, Patunayan!”, this is in line with the 2024 Women’s Month Celebration held on March 22, 2024 at BGD Clubhouse Central Terminal, Cabaruan, Cauayan City, Isabela. The activity conducted were 1st Women with Disability Inclusive Local Governance Conference (Orientation and Forum) on Gender and Development Policies, Programs and Services discussed by GADFPS TWG-Focal Person Ms. Maria Cristine C. Ordoñez , Livelihood Skills Training and Other Services discussed by City Cooperative Officer Ms. Sylvia P. Domingo, Labor Market Information (LMI) para Kay Juana at Juan discussed by Peso Manager Atty. Divina Joy V. Gonzales, Health and Wellness discussed by Pharmacist 1/HEPO Designate Ms. Ruby P. Ballesteros, Women’s Protection and Complaints Desk Services discussed by WCPD PNCO PSSgt Maria Zoraida R. Corpuz, Womens Right and VAWC Desk Services discussed by Social Worker Ms. Ericka T, Acag, RSW, RCrim, Disaster Preparedness discussed by Head-BGD Command Center Mr. Michael D. Carñero and 70 Women with Disabilities received Financial Assistance amounting to One Thousand Pesos Each (P1,000.00).
